La 24.ª edición reunirá en Getxo a destacados nombres del noveno arte, con homenajes a Miguelanxo Prado y Laureano Domínguez por su trayectoria y contribución al sector.

Además, artistas como Teresa Valero, Juan Díaz Canales, Lorenzo Montatore, Tomás Hijo, Clara y Olivia Cábez, Laurielle, Miguel Brieva, Teresa Ferreiro y Núria Tamarit participarán en charlas, encuentros, presentaciones, talleres y sesiones de firmas.

📚 The Getxo Comic Fair returns from 16 to 18 October with a new event for comic book enthusiasts.

The 24th edition will bring together leading figures from the world of comics in Getxo, with tributes to Miguelanxo Prado and Laureano Domínguez in recognition of their careers and contributions to the sector.

⚓ Frente al mar, Getxo conserva edificios que cuentan historias de navegación y tradición marinera.

La Casa de Salvamento de Náufragos, actual sede de la Asociación Vasca de Capitanes, Patrones y Navegantes, es uno de los rincones más singulares del frente marítimo de Getxo.

Construida en 1920 por el arquitecto Ignacio Smith, su arquitectura recuerda a un gran caserío junto al mar. Su torre-faro, iluminada por primera vez en 1939, tuvo un papel fundamental en la orientación de los barcos que llegaban a la ría de Bilbao.

Hoy, este edificio forma parte del patrimonio marítimo de Getxo y sigue vinculado al mar a través de la actividad náutica del Puerto Deportivo El Abra-Getxo y la Cruz Roja del Mar.

⚓ Overlooking the sea, Getxo preserves buildings that tell stories of seafaring and maritime tradition.

The Shipwreck Rescue House, now home to the Basque Association of Captains, Skippers and Seafarers, is one of the most distinctive landmarks on Getxo’s waterfront.

Built in 1920 by architect Ignacio Smith, its design is reminiscent of a large traditional Basque farmhouse overlooking the sea. Its lighthouse tower, first illuminated in 1939, played a vital role in guiding ships arriving at the Bilbao estuary.

Today, the building forms part of Getxo’s maritime heritage and remains closely connected to the sea through the nautical activities of El Abra-Getxo Marina and the Sea Rescue division of the Red Cross.

🌿 Punta Galea: paisaje, memoria y patrimonio en un mismo recorrido.

Entre acantilados, mar abierto y vistas al Cantábrico se alza el Fuerte de La Galea, una fortificación del siglo XVIII construida para proteger la entrada al puerto de Bilbao y uno de los pocos ejemplos de arquitectura militar de esta época que se conservan en Bizkaia.

🚶‍♀️ Recorrer este paseo permite disfrutar de un paisaje espectacular, descubrir parte del patrimonio de Getxo y contemplar la fuerza del mar desde uno de los rincones más emblemáticos de la costa.

Set among cliffs, the open sea and sweeping views of the Cantabrian coast stands La Galea Fort, an 18th-century fortification built to protect the entrance to the Port of Bilbao and one of the few surviving examples of military architecture from this period in Bizkaia.

🚶‍♀️ Walking along this route is a chance to enjoy spectacular scenery, discover part of Getxo’s heritag and experience the power of the sea from one of the most iconic spots on the coast.

Con el mar a un lado y las vistas abiertas sobre el Abra, recorrer este paseo permite disfrutar de la costa de Getxo desde una perspectiva privilegiada. La brisa, el sonido de las olas y el ambiente marinero acompañan un paseo perfecto para desconectar, hacer una pausa o simplemente dejarse llevar.
