🚗⚡ 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰 𝗺𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗿𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗮!

👏 The pilot in the Sierra de Gata is now operational, bringing new shared mobility options to Coria, Cilleros and Perales del Puerto.

The pilot includes:
🔌 3 public charging points
🚙 2 fully electric shared vehicles
📱 A digital platform for vehicle availability and bookings
🎓 Training and awareness activities for local citizens and municipal staff

🔝 Led locally by Consejería de Infraestructuras, Transporte y Vivienda , in collaboration with Agenex - Agencia Extremeña de la Energía, the pilot is one of seven RuralMED Mobility demonstrations across Mediterranean rural areas 🌱

The training sessions have already been held in Cilleros and Perales del Puerto, introducing citizens to the vehicles, charging points and new shared mobility service.

🚐 What would make 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗻-𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁?

🇸🇮 Our Slovenian partners Regionalna razvojna agencija Gorenjske - BSC Kranj put this question directly to students and young people in Gorenjska, asking when they would actually use more flexible mobility services.

Their answers highlight some of the gaps that on-demand transport could help address — from poor public transport connections and first/last-mile journeys to trips to the doctor, sports activities or getting home safely at night.

𝗟𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 that respond to the real needs of rural communities.

🚐 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗼𝘇𝗶 𝗻𝗮 𝗸𝗹𝗶𝗰? 𝗠𝗹𝗮𝗱𝗶 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗷𝗼: 𝗝𝗮, 𝗽𝗼𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗯𝘂𝗷𝗲𝗺𝗼 𝗷𝗶𝗵.

Kaj sploh so prevozi na klic? Kje na Gorenjskem jih že poznamo? In predvsem – kdaj bi jih mladi dejansko uporabljali?

O tem smo se 22. septembra pogovarjali z dijaki in študenti ter jih vprašali, kakšne so njihove potrebe in kje vidijo prostor za bolj prilagodljive oblike mobilnosti.

Njihovi odgovori so bili zelo konkretni. 👇

🚏 Ko javni prevoz ne vozi ali povezave niso dovolj dobre.
⏱️ Ko se mudi, avtobus pa zamuja.
🏠 Za prevoz od vrat do vrat ali kot povezavo do obstoječega javnega prevoza.
🚲 Ko kolo, motor ali e-skiro niso možnost.
🏥 Za pot do zdravnika.
🏋️ Za pot na trening.
🌙 Pa tudi za varen prevoz domov sredi noči.

Predvsem pa si želijo mobilnosti, ki je 𝗳𝗹𝗲𝗸𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗻𝗮, 𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗿𝗮, 𝘇𝗮𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗹𝗷𝗶𝘃𝗮, 𝘃𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗮 𝗶𝗻 𝗷𝗶𝗺 𝗼𝗺𝗼𝗴𝗼č𝗮 𝘃𝗲č 𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗷𝗻𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗶 – tako v ruralnih kot urbanih okoljih.

In prav to je bistvo prevozov na klic: ponuditi možnost prevoza takrat in tam, kjer klasični javni potniški promet težko odgovori na vse potrebe.

Aktivnost smo izvedli v okviru projekta Rural-MED Mobility, kjer iščemo rešitve za bolj dostopno in trajnostno mobilnost tudi zunaj večjih urbanih središč. 🌱🚐

⚡ Can electric mobility support the transition of coal regions? Bulgaria's pilot is proving that it can.

🇧🇬 In Radnevo and Galabovo, the RuralMED Mobility pilot has already achieved encouraging early results:

🔌 98 charging sessions
⚡ 2,223 kWh delivered
🌱 More than 2 tonnes of CO₂ emissions avoided

Located in one of Bulgaria's coal-transition regions, the pilot shows that well-planned charging infrastructure can successfully support cleaner mobility in rural communities.

⚡ 𝗖𝗮𝗻 𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗘𝗩 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗿𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗿𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀? Croatia's pilot is already 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝘀𝘄𝗲𝗿.

🇭🇷 In Koprivnica-Križevci County, four public charging stations installed through Mobility have delivered 𝟵𝟭𝟰 𝗸𝗪𝗵 across 𝟰𝟵 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 in their first months of operation, avoiding an estimated 𝟭,𝟬𝟭𝟬 𝗸𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗢₂ emissions (equivalent to around 540€ in fuel costs). And the demand continuing to grow 📈

🏥 Located at rural Health Centres, the pilot is showing that accessible, well-located charging infrastructure can support the transition to electric mobility beyond urban areas.

🤝 The project has also demonstrated an 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗴𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹 with the collaboration between REA Sjever and Koprivničko-križevačka županija 🔝

🚗🇮🇹 The Mobility pilot in Comune di Suzzara has now 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝟮𝟯,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝗸𝗺 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 through its shared electric mobility service! ⚡

📊 After eight months:
🔹 343 rentals
🔹 23,863 km travelled
🔹 Nearly 3 tonnes of CO₂ emissions avoided
🔹 More than 5,300 kWh of clean energy delivered

🔄 The pilot has also renewed its fleet with two new electric vehicles, ensuring the service continues to provide sustainable mobility for the local community.

📍 Day 2 of the Final Event

⚡ The 𝟲𝘁𝗵 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝘂𝗺 took place in Badajoz, bringing together public authorities, stakeholders, EV users and mobility experts 🚗

📊 Participants had the opportunity to discover the project's achievements, learn about the different 𝗽𝗶𝗹𝗼𝘁 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 implemented across Mediterranean regions and explore the first results obtained so far.

🗣️ The event also featured contributions from public authorities and EV users, providing valuable perspectives on the challenges and opportunities of accelerating the transition towards cleaner mobility solutions.

🌍 After two years of cooperation, pilot testing and knowledge exchange, RuralMED Mobility is delivering a clear message: electric mobility is not only possible in rural areas — it is already 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 across Mediterranean regions.
