U.S. Navy Child and Youth Services is hosting a series of webinars on 7 October, open to all our community. Topics include the College Application Process, Financial Aid Basics, Dual Working Families: How to Educate Your Children When Both Parents Work, and Alternatives to a 4-Year University.

Clarification on the rules for children going out, as per Official State Bulletin dated 25 April:
- Only children under 14. (Max age for going out to play/walk is 13)
- Max three children per adult, maintaining 2m (6 ft) distance between groups and between adults
- Only allowed between 9am-9pm
- Only in public spaces, trails or other areas. Playgrounds remain off limits. Can not go 1km from home
- Bikes, scooters, toys, etc. are allowed
- Max 1 hour duration per day
- Anyone showing symptoms is prohibited from leaving the domicile
- Take IDs for the entire group (if available for smaller children)
- Children 14-18 are only allowed to go out to run authorized errands: grocery shopping / pharmacy.

Infant Age – Paint in a Bag – a safe sensory activity
Directions: Take a sandwich bag that can be sealed and put 3-4 quarter size drops of different paint colors inside the middle of the bag. Seal the bag tightly to make sure that most of the air goes out. Place the bag where the infant can comfortably touch and move the ingredients inside.
*Option to line the outside of the bag with tape and tape the bag to the floor or other surface.
*If you do not have paint on hand you can also get creative with different liquids and objects. An alternative shown here is shower gel mixed with alphabet shapes.

Family Fun Recipe
Today is making Taco Pizza with our Food & Beverage Manager and her daughter. Video posted in the comments.
Ingredients
1 lb. ground beef
1 envelope taco seasoning
1 can Pillsbury pizza dough
16 oz. refried beans
16 oz. shredded cheese of your choice
1 medium chopped tomato
½ cup sliced black olives
¼ cup chopped green olives
Optional ingredients: chopped lettuce, jalapeños and onion
Directions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C)
Roll dough onto a cookie sheet and let sit for 5 minutes at room temperature
Bake dough for 8-10 minutes, until cooked through and golden brown
While dough bakes, cook ground beef, adding taco seasoning
When dough is baked, layer refried beans, then taco meat and top with cheese
Place back in over until cheese is melted
Add additional toppings (lettuce, tomatoes, olives, onions and any optional toppings you choose)
Cute and serve with your favorite condiments such as guacamole, sour cream or taco sauce
