Sta. Catalina Neighbourhood Map Santa Catalina Neighbourhood Map. Palma de Mallorca . Spain The perfume of yesteryear and the occasional fisherman are still interwoven into modern life.

They say that Santa Catalina was the fishermen’s borough, nestled amongst the sea rushes that abounded in proximity to the sea. Diminutive houses and gardens typical of a bygone era stand in contrast now with modern, 20th Century buildings. The market, the parish church, the (newly restored) theatre and the nostalgic windmills are a few icons of the area’s history that remain with us today. Here, the past will always live among us.
