My heartfelt condolences to all Ugandans about the death of Rt. Hon. Jacob L'Okori Oulanyah, the speaker of plmt. He has been a good leader whose contribution to this nation shall forever be remembered. Rest in eternal peace.

Attending Ambassadors' Retreat at National Leadership Institute-Kyankwanzi. Issues of discussion include how we can attract foreign investment into Uganda, safeguarding Uganda's Peace and Security, boasting our tourism potential among other issues of national importance

I had a meeting with H.E Amb. Jagne Jainaba (Gambia) who paid a courtesy call to our Embassy in Addis Ababa. We discussed issues related to Children Affected by Armed Conflict. Uganda and Gambia are members of the African Union Peace and Security Council.

On the occasion of the Birthday of His Majesty the Emperor of Japan, I was honored to be part of the celebration.

I have had an interaction with H.E Gen. Olusegun Obasanjo, Special Envoy for the African Union chairperson to the Horn of Africa. Such great brains inspire us to work more for the good of our continent Africa.

I have met H.E Abdullah Ahmed Jama, the Ambassador of Somalia to Ethiopia, also Permanent Representative to African Union and UNECA. We discussed bilateral issues including Peace and Security.

Uganda is hosting a very important meeting of the African Union this week. I am one of the participants. HE the president is the Chief guest. The meeting dubbed C-10 is part of the ongoing efforts for Africa under the AU arrangement to demand for reforms in the UN security council system.

Yesterday we became country number 25 to sign the Revised African Maritime Transport Charter. Three countries remain for the charter to come into force. This charter among others aims to implement harmonized Maritime Transport policies AND facilitate and encourage regular consultations for determining African common positions on issues of international Maritime policy and to define for each given problem concerted solutions.

This morning I had a meeting with H.E. Amb. Bankole Adeoye the AU Commissioner Political Affairs Peace and Security. We discussed amongst others the Regional Peace and Security.
I'm glad he confirmed his participation at the upcoming C-10 Ministerial Meeting in Kampala.
