የቆላማ አካባቢዎች የኑሮ ማሻሻያ ፕሮጀክት የምዕራፍ አንድ የቀሪ ሶስት ወራት እቅድ እንዲሁም ምዕራፍ ሁለት የ2018 እቅድ በዛሬው እለት በስትሪንግ ኮሚቴ አፀድቋል።

የመጀመሪያው ምዕራፍ አፈጻጸም እና 2018 እቅድና ቀጣይ ስራዎች አጋር አካላት በተገኙበት በቢሾፍቱ ከተማ ውይይት ተደርጎበታል።

ፕሮጀክቱ በተለያዩ ክልሎች ቆላማ አከባቢዎች የመጠጥ ውሃ፣ ትምህርት ቤቶች፣የእንስሳት ህክምና ማዕከላት ፣ የመንገድና ድልድይ ፣ የችግኝ ማፍያ ጣቢያዎች ፣አነስተኛ የመስኖ ቦዮች፣የገበያ ማዕከላት እና ሌሎች መሰረተ ልማቶች የገነቡበት ነው።

ዶ/ር አብራሃም በላይ የመስኖና ቆላማ አከባቢ ሚኒስትር የመጀመሪያው ምዕራፍ አፈጻጸምና ውጤታማነት ወደ ሁለተኛው ምዕራፍ እንዲሸጋገር አስችሎታል፤ የዜጎችን ህይወት በቀጥታ የሚለውጥና የሚያሻሽል በመሆኑ ፕሮጀክቱ በክልሎች ፣በአጋር ተቋማትና በማህበረሰቡ ዘንድ ተቀባይነትን ያገኘ ነው ብለዋል።

አቶ አዲሱ አረጋ የግብርና ሚንስትር ፕሮጀክቱ በስራው ውጤታማነት በማህበረሰቡ ዘንድ መልካም ስም ማትረፉን ገልጸው በቀጣይ በመጠጥ ውሃ ላይ የሚሰራው ስራ ተጠናክሮ መቀጠል አለበት ነው ያሉት።

የአደጋ ስጋት አመራር ኮሚሽን ኮሚሽነር አምባሳደር ዶ/ር ሽፈራው ተ/ማርም ፕሮጀክቱ ሰው ተኮር በመሆኑ የሰብአዊ ድጋፍ ሉአላዊነትን ለማረጋገጥ የሚደረገውን ጥረት የሚያግዝ መሆኑን ተናግረዋል።

Agreement Signed for the Construction of the “Project to Ensure Pastoralists’ Benefit”
August 20, 2025 – Oromia Region

The Oromia Irrigation and Pastoral Development Bureau (OIPDB) has signed construction agreements under the LLRP II program with contractors Tewodros Admasu G.C., Gindeberet G.C., and Asamnew Teshome G.C. for a project valued at Birr 552.2 million.

The contracts cover the construction of a 38.62 km road and two bridges in Gumbii Bordodde Woreda, West Hararghe Zone, aimed at improving pastoralist communities’ access to infrastructure and services.

Mr. Gurmessa Lalisa, LLRP II Manager, noted the project’s budget of Birr 552,200,892.96 and highlighted its importance in enhancing community benefits.

Engineer Girma Raggasa, Head of the OIPDB, emphasized that the bureau is committed to ensuring tangible benefits for pastoralists. He stressed that contractors must prioritize community ownership, timely completion, and quality of work so that the outcomes directly support pastoral livelihoods.

The contractors were called upon to work in cooperation and contribute to the successful delivery of the project, in line with ongoing national development efforts. LLRP Oromia.

New Road Project Launched to Connect Hadhagala Woreda and Gabi Site

A major infrastructure project has officially been launched today, marking the beginning of the construction of a road connecting Hadhagala Woreda and Gabi Site. The project, valued at nearly 180 million Birr, is expected to significantly boost local economic development.

The foundation stone was laid by the President of the Somali Regional State, H.E. Mustafe Muhumed Omar, alongside Dr. Abraham Belay, Minister of the FDRE Ministry of Irrigation and Lowlands.

The road will span 30 kilometers in length and 7 meters in width. It is being implemented under the Lowland Livelihood Resilience Project II (LLRP II) in the Somali Region.

Hadhagala Woreda, located in the Sitti Zone, is known for its abundant underground water resources and fertile land, making it ideal for agricultural production. The new road is expected to greatly ease the transportation of agricultural products to market, thereby enhancing trade, increasing sales, and improving livelihoods in the community.

This infrastructure initiative is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen resilience and economic opportunities in Ethiopia’s lowland regions. LLRP Somali.
