To strengthen healthcare services, UNHCR Ethiopia, under the Energy Access project funded by AECID Ethiopia, delivered vital medical equipment - an ultrasound, hematology analyzer and refrigerators - to the Health Center in Kobe site region.

🎓Jigjiga University launched a project to enhance education access, strengthen teacher capacity, support skills development & generate policy evidence; empowering 300 refugee-school teachers & 350 host community youth over 3 years.

With Refugees & Returnees Service - RRS, we engaged communities & visited key World Bank investments in Benishangul Gumuz & Somali regions, highlighting progress on refugee inclusion. Crucial momentum built toward the High Commissioner's 50/35 target.

In the region, UNHCR, Refugees & Returnees Service - RRS & IHS Ethiopia handed over tractors, mills, bajaj & masonry equipment to the refugee & host community in Aftit. This will boost incomes and bring refugees and hosts closer.

Water services are stronger when they're part of national systems.

With the Region, Refugees & Returnees Service - RRS, UNICEF Ethiopia, & NRC - Norwegian Refugee Council, UNHCR Ethiopia handed water services in Awbarre, Shedder & Kebribeyah refugee settlements to Government utilities, advancing government‑led service delivery.
