Grâce au programme de mentoring Copernicus, des femmes africaines transforment des défis locaux en solutions concrètes, en s'appuyant sur les données spatiales, l’expertise et des réseaux de partenaires. Agriculture durable, gestion des risques, énergies renouvelables, santé environnementale… autant de domaines où l’innovation féminine fait la différence.
Ce programme s’inscrit dans une vision panafricaine alignée avec l’Agenda 2063 et soutenue par la Global Gateway de l’UE.

Through the Copernicus Mentoring Programme, African women are turning local challenges into real solutions, using satellite data, expert guidance, and cross-border networks. From sustainable farming to health and energy, women-led innovation is gaining ground.
This programme aligns with the African Union’s Agenda 2063 and is supported by the EU’s Global Gateway.

🌍 Un Webinaire pour Explorer des Opportunités qu'offre l’Espace à l’Afrique
Le 8 avril 2025, un webinaire réunira les acteurs clés du spatial européen et africain pour mettre en lumière les opportunités de financement, de formation et de coopération dans le cadre du programme . Destiné aux formateurs africains, cet événement vise à renforcer les capacités locales en matière d'applications spatiales et d'innovation sur le continent.
Pendant 1h30, des intervenants de haut niveau issus de l'Union africaine, de la Commission européenne (DG INTPA), de l'ESA, d'EUMETSAT, d'EUSPA et du programme Horizon Europe présenteront les dispositifs de soutien accessibles à la communauté africaine de l’observation de la Terre.
🎯 L’objectif ? Offrir aux formateurs africains des outils et des informations stratégiques pour optimiser l’utilisation des données spatiales au service du développement durable en Afrique. Cet événement s’inscrit pleinement dans le cadre du partenariat UE-Afrique sur l’espace, témoignant d’une volonté commune de co-construire une dynamique durable de formation, d’innovation et de transfert de compétences.

🌍 A Webinar to Unlock Space Opportunities for Africa
On April 8th, 2025, an exceptional webinar will bring together key actors from the European and African space sectors to highlight funding, training, and collaboration opportunities within the programme. Designed for African trainers, this event aims to strengthen local capacities in space applications and innovation across the continent.
Over the course of 90 minutes, high-level speakers from the African Union, the European Commission (DG INTPA), ESA, EUMETSAT, EUSPA, and the Horizon Europe programme will present the available funding and cooperation opportunities to the African Earth Observation community.
🎯 The goal? To equip African trainers with the knowledge and tools needed to advance the use of space data for sustainable development across Africa. This event is part of the EU-Africa Space Partnership, reflecting a shared commitment to co-create a lasting ecosystem of training, innovation, and capacity building.
