This is a press statement (W) from the Federal Republic of Somalia, dated June 25, 2025, in Muqdisho (Mogadishu).
It states that the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mr. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, accompanied by a government delegation, held a meeting with the Somalia Salvation Council, led by its chairman, former President Sharif Sheikh Ahmed.
After a lengthy discussion and exchange of views, agreement was reached on four important agendas for nation-building, which are:
* Nationwide Reconciliation (Adkeynta midnimada dalka - Strengthening the unity of the country)
* Constitutional Review Process (Hannaanka dib-u-eegista dastuurka - The process of reviewing the constitution)
* Security and Counter-Terrorism (Amniga iyo ciribtirka argagixisada - Security and eradication of terrorism)
* Consensus-based Power-sharing Process (Hannaanka doorashooyiin toos ah oo heshiis lagu yahay - The process of direct elections that have been agreed upon)
It was also agreed that responsibility for past mistakes would be acknowledged.
After further extensive discussions, it was agreed that as the holy month of July 2025 approaches, a second meeting will commence on the 3rd of July 2025 to continue the discussions.

وقعت كينيا مرة أخرى على بروتوكول الرئيس حسن شيخ الذي زار نيروبي اليوم. استقبل الرئيس أوورا كينياتا نظيره حسن في منصب الرئاسة في ظل نظام أدنى من النظام الرئاسي.
