You never know when would the fire comes to you, it might be later? tomorrow? next week? next year? or might never happen.
Fire extinguisher cannot prevent the fire as a disaster but it can prevent the spreading of fire and minimize the damage , action now before suffering from unnecessary regretting in the future.
