🌊 FIFO 2027 - Call for Entries now open!

The International Oceanian Documentary Film Festival (FIFO Tahiti) is now accepting submissions for its 2027 edition, taking place in Tahiti in February 2027.

We welcome documentaries and short films from and about Oceania, from 2 to 120 minutes. A special Sports category has also been introduced this year in celebration of the Pacific Games in Tahiti in 2027.

Film Fiji extends its warmest congratulations to writer and filmmaker Tulia Nacola - Writer, Filmmaker on winning the prestigious Kimo Breakthrough Filmmaker of the Year Award for 2026 at the Pacific Island Film Festival (PIFF) in New York City!

We are incredibly proud to celebrate the success of her debut feature-length film, ADI. This recognition complete with an award plaque and grant highlights the power and importance of Fijian storytelling on the international stage.

Film Fiji remains committed to supporting our local filmmakers and nurturing the growth of our domestic film industry.

What’s Happening To Our Boys? 🎬

​Last Friday, September 18, Director & Producer Adi Tulia Nacola hosted a special private screening of her debut documentary film, What’s Happening To Our Boys?, alongside the funders, supporters, and participants who helped bring it to life.
​The morning featured an inspiring presentation from Nacola on her vision for the film, followed by an insightful, interactive Q&A session with the audience.

We are excited to highlight an upcoming showcase of local storytelling!Young Productions and VideoFactory are hosting a free screening of four Fijian short films at VOU Hub, Nadi.

​The one-hour program features award-winning works and new releases, all written and directed by Caleb Young in collaboration with Brosnan Erbsleben and Emmy-nominated camera operator Lanza Coffin.

Got a drone? Get authorized before you fly!

If you’re coming to Fiji from overseas to film and have a drone with you, there are a few things you need to know.

Got your Film Permit from Film Fiji? Great! But remember, your Film Permit does not automatically cover drone operations.

Before you take off:

✅ Declare your drone when you arrive in Fiji
✅ Keep your Film Fiji permit with you
✅ Get the required Drone Authorization from CAAF
✅ Follow Fiji’s drone safety rules and respect restricted areas.
