🌐 This Sunday, September 12, "La Parisienne" race will run past the Eiffel Tower! 🏃‍♀️

The race will pass in front of the monument before finishing on the Champ-de-Mars.

The route might slow you down as you make your way to the monument.
We therefore recommend that you plan your trip in advance and allow a little extra time to get to the Tower.

La course passera devant le monument et s’achèvera sur le Champ-de-Mars.

Pour nos visiteurs : le parcours pourrait vous ralentir pour accéder au monument. Nous vous conseillons donc d’anticiper votre trajet et de prévoir un peu de temps supplémentaire pour rejoindre la Tour.

🌐It’s back to business as usual for the Eiffel Tower too!

From today, the Tower is back to its usual opening hours and is open from 9.30 am to 11.45 pm, with the last ascent at 10.45 pm.

🇫🇷 C’est aussi la rentrée pour la tour Eiffel !

À partir d’aujourd’hui, la Tour retrouve ses horaires habituels et vous accueille de 9h30 à 23h45, avec une dernière montée à 22h45.

🌐 On 25 August 1944, six Parisian firefighters hoisted the tricolour flag to the top of the Eiffel Tower!

As Paris was being liberated, Captain Lucien Sarniguet and the five men in his commando unit began their ascent of the Tower, under fire from German soldiers. Upon reaching the summit, they replaced the N**i flag with a tricolour flag made from scraps of fabric.

A symbolic gesture that remains, even today, associated with the Liberation of Paris and the history of the Tower.

In tribute to their courage, the gymnastics team from the Paris Fire Brigade was today on the Tower’s esplanade for a special display. 🇫🇷
