Gorsaf Dân Ac Achub Aberbargod/Aberbargoed Fire and Rescue Station

🌲Another year completed!🌲

This was the third year our On-call crews worked in the community to deliver over 1,250 selection boxes to 10 locations across the station area!

Over the past few years the station has received approximately 4,000 selection boxes and distributed them across our stops!

📟The On-Call crew at Aberbargoed complete these activities voluntarily with the majority of the firefighters arriving on station following days at their primary employment taking time away from their own families in order to ensure that the event goes ahead and as smoothly as possible and share the festivities with the community 📟

Over the new year we will be taking part in a local campaign putting the spotlight on our On-Call crew, the work they do and the benefits of the role.

📟🚒Did you know that the On-Call Duty System is a paid part time role designed to be flexible around primary employment and other commitments , if you live within 5 minutes of Aberbargoed fire station we are currently recruiting for On-Call Firefighters 🚒 📟

🌲🌲Tonight was the first night of Aberbargoed fire stations Sleigh Drive, we have engaged with over 400 young people providing each with a selection box!🌲🌲

🍫These events run because of the support from local town councils, community groups, businesses and individuals who donate each year! 🍫

The On-Call firefighters at Aberbargoed work to organise this event with various partners and departments,
