Due to repairs to public sewer works being carried out by Scottish Water, part of North Esplanade West is to be closed from 9am TOMORROW (Wednesday 3 June).
The closure is between the junctions with Stell Road and Market Street and is until 6am on Friday 5 June.
An alternative route is available via Stell Road and Poynernook Road. The existing one way system on Poynernook Road will be suspended to allow two-way traffic.

*** ROADS UPDATE ***

Due to Emergency works being carried out by Scottish Water the following temporary road restrictions will be in place from 10pm TONIGHT (Thursday 30 April) for approximately 7-10 days:

• Closure of the northbound carriageway of Market Street, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Poynernook Road and North Esplanade West.
• Closure of the northbound carriageway of North Esplanade West between its junctions with Stell Road and Market Street.
• Suspension of the one-way system on Poynernook Road between Market Street and Stell Road.
• Parking Restrictions as and when required on areas of Palmerston Road, Poynernook Road, Stell Road, and Raik Road, for bus movements. These will be demarcated by yellow no-waiting cones.

Alternative routes are as follows:
• All vehicles with the exception of HGVs – College Street and Guild Street.
• HGVs - West Tullos Road, Riverside Drive, Holburn Street, South Anderson Drive, Westburn Road, Hutcheon Street, West North Street, East North Street, Commerce Street and Virginia Street.

Additional information:
• Access to Union Square will be maintained via Palmerston Road.
• Bus gates will be suspended on Guild Street for eastbound and southbound traffic and Bridge Street for northbound traffic.
• L*Z will still be in force.
• Bus diversions will be in place and delays may occur, please plan ahead.
