*** ROAD CLOSED ***

Due to a fallen tree on Waverley Place an emergency road closure is in place. The road is closed in both directions.
We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience while we clear the road.

Police Scotland have been made aware of fallen trees on the following roads:

• Whitestripes Road near to it’s junction with Laverock Braes Drive, Aberdeen

• Grantitehill Terrace, Aberdeen

• Whitestripes Road near to it’s junction with B997

• Kirkbrae, just south of its junction with Countesswells Road, Aberdeen

As a result, the roads are blocked and road closures have been put in place.

Police Scotland are liasing with Aberdeen City Council to resolve the matter as soon as possible.

Police Scotland are requesting members of the public take alternative routes where possible.

Significant delays expected, no diversion listed by council however diversion most likely through Torry and Riverside Drive.

Road will be ⛔️CLOSED⛔️ S/B between Polwarth and Abbotswell Road from 12/10 until 18/10.

There will be no access off of and on Wellington Road from the following roads:

* Balnagask Road
* Girdleness Road

Road will then be ⛔️CLOSED⛔️ N/B between Abbotswell and Polwarth Road from 19/10 until 25/10.

There will be no access to Abbotswell Road or Tesco and the MG car dealership.

Diversion will be VIA Riverside Drive in both directions.

Significant delays are expected.

First bus Aberdeen Service 3, 3A, 3B and 15 and Stagecoach 727 and 8S services will be on diversion.

There is a Met Office YELLOW weather warning for heavy rain from Storm Austen covering Aberdeen and some of Scotland.
It is from 6am to on Friday to 3am on Saturday.
âť— There is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded, causing damage to some buildings
âť— Where flooding occurs, there is a slight chance of delays or cancellations to train and bus services
âť— Spray and flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures
âť— There is a small chance that some communities will become cut off by flooded roads
âť— There is a slight chance of power cuts and loss of other services to some homes and businesses

Wellington Road resurfacing work reminder

Northbound lanes between Polwarth Road and Greenwell Road will close from 19 to 23 October.
