Valentine’s Day Bake Sale

We are running a Valentine’s bake sale to fundraise for some toys for our school clinics. TBH will be in the Suttie Atrium next Friday with treats and baked goods! 🧁🍰

Come and treat your special someone to some delicious Valentine’s themed bakes or treat yourself for all the studying you’ve completed! 💌🌹

All donations can be made by cash or card (Bank transfer) on the day. 💰💳

You can also enter our ‘Guess the Teddy’s Birthday’ fundraiser at the stall. 💌♥️

Guess the Teddy Bear’s Birthday Fundraiser!

TBH are running a fundraiser competition from today until 14th February. To enter the competition, you will be asked to complete the google form to submit your guess for the Teddy’s birthday. The lucky winner will receive a Valentine’s themed Jellycat along with other prizes which will be revealed later. We ask for a donation of £1 for one guess and this can be paid by bank transfer to the society bank details seen on the 2nd slide/google form. You can also enter the competition on the day of our Valentine’s bake sale on the 14th. We will be announcing the winner later that day so make sure to get your guesses in ASAP. 🏆

We hope to raise as much as we can with you’re help to fund more toys for our school clinics! 🧸

Hi everyone!

Happy New Year!!! We hope you’re all doing well!! ✨

We’re running a Child protection course on the 22nd of January at 3pm on MS teams. This is to enable more people who want to volunteer with the society to be able to! You must have your child protection training to volunteer with Teddy Bear Hospital. If you have already done this session in previous years you do not need to attend, and can simply continue to sign up for our clinics.

This session is fantastic to attend, it is very insightful and educational and we are incredibly lucky to have it provided by a child protection lead within NHS Grampian. It will serve you well for your whole career and we would recommend coming along!

Once you have completed this session you can volunteer with us for however long you have left at medical school! The event will last 1 hour, it will be held online via MS Teams (link to come).

Teddy bear hospitals first clinic will be starting next week!! We have got a spreadsheet organised that you can add your name into to sign up for clinics so stay tuned for this.

To get you feeling confident and prepared to go into the schools we have a training session running next Monday 28th October at 16:30 in room 210 💕

We will be going over how a clinic work, what you do and lots of tips and tricks! We look forward to seeing everyone there 🥰

October starts in a few days! And it’s not just for the spooky vibes 🎃..

Did you also know October is Down Syndrome Awareness Month?
It’s all about celebrating uniqueness!

The TBH group are about to take on the Mile challenge to fundraise for Down Syndrome, where we are going to collectively run, walk, swim or cycle the distance of Aberdeen to Glasgow! 😮
Plus a mid-month group outing to keep our spirits high and motivated! A group strava has been set up, ready for the new month to start.. will our members be able to keep their chins up and rise with the challenge⁉️🤔
