Rydym yn falch o weithio ochr yn ochr â nhw i gadw’r arfordir yn lle saff i bawb.

Today we’re celebrating International Women’s Day and all the incredible women who are part of Abersoch Coastguard Rescue Team, giving their time and helping to keep our coastline safe.
We would also like to recognise all the women working across Search and Rescue, whether that’s as part of other Coastguard Rescue Teams, to full time staff to the staff working in HM Coastguard’s MRCC Holyhead operations room, as well as the women who are part of the Abersoch RNLI lifeboat crew, along with other local Lifeboat crews. We are proud to work alongside them to help keep our coastline a safe place for everyone.
Thank you all for your dedication.
Today we celebrate all of you.

While many were wrapping presents and prepping for Christmas, our volunteer crew were on call…..as always 🛟
On Sunday 21 December, Abersoch RNLI volunteer crew were paged at 11.10am following a report to HM Coastguard of an object floating off Carreg y Defaid.
The Atlantic 85 inshore lifeboat launched at 11.22am, arriving on scene within five minutes. Guided by Abersoch Coastguard Rescue Team, the crew located the object, which was identified as an all-in-one thermal fishing/deck suit.
Phill Wood, Abersoch RNLI volunteer helm, said:
“This was a false alarm with good intent. The fisherman absolutely did the right thing by calling the Coastguard.”
Our volunteer crew are on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, Christmas week included.
💛 If they can respond at any time, in any conditions, you can brave a quick run into the sea on New Year’s Day 👍
The Abersoch RNLI New Year’s Day Dip is one of our most important fundraisers of the year and a brilliant way to start 2026 supporting the people who are always there, responding to any call…….

As the clocks have gone back, it gets darker earlier and daylight hours are getting shorter. Plan your coastal walks and trips carefully to make sure you return safely before dark.
• Check the latest weather forecast before you go
• Note your location, including the beach name, address, and key landmarks
• Carry a fully charged mobile phone
• Take extra care on slippery paths, especially when it starts to get dark
• Stay well clear of cliff edges and bases, particularly after heavy rain
In a coastal emergency, call 999 and ask for the Coastguard.

🚨 Galwad Allan – diachos gyda bwriad da 🚨
Am 8:29pm nos Wener 6 Medi, cafodd RNLI Pwllheli alwad i lansio yn dilyn gweithrediad ‘Personal Locator Beacon’ (PLB).
Roedd y bad achub ar fin cael ei lawnsio ond fe alwyd i lawr wedi dod o hyd i leoliad y PLB a chanfod nad oedd argyfwng.
Hoffem ddiolch i’n gwirfoddolwyr am ymateb mor sydyn, a chofio atgoffa pawb fod galw Gwylwyr y Glannau gyda bwriad da bob amser yn beth cywir i’w wneud – mae’n llawer gwell bod yn ddiogel na difaru. ⛵️🛟

🚨 Call Out – False Alarm with Good Intent 🚨
At 8:29pm on Friday 6 September, Pwllheli RNLI was requested to launch following the activation of a Personal Locator Beacon (PLB).
The crew prepared to respond but were stood down shortly before launching, as it was confirmed to be a false alarm.
We’d like to thank our volunteers for turning out so swiftly, and remind everyone that raising the alarm in good faith is always the right thing to do – it’s far better to be safe than sorry. ⛵️🛟
