3 & 4 Regt RLC walking 70 miles for MINDS Abingdon 11/05/2022

A week today on the 18 May, WO2 Bull and other members of 3 Regiment Royal Logistic Corps & 4 Regiment RLC will be walking 70 miles over 24 hours with 35kg on are back in aid for Abingdon MINDS. They are in need of a new kitchen for there much needed centre that supports our soliders as well as the local community. If you can donate what ever you can to this fantastic cause. Please donate to their JustGiving Page and help them raise the money. https://www.justgiving.com/MindsAbingdon

Here is WO2 Bull's story:
I have personally benefitted from MIND (Abingdon) services, the last couple of years have been extremely turbulent for me, we ‘as a family’ have been victim to three family bereavements in the last 14 Months.

Clearly, this had a massive negative impact on my outlook on life, MIND offered me talking therapy which help me understand my feelings and positively greave whilst keeping my family’s
wellbeing intact, for me I learnt that “its ok, not to be ok”! They provided me coping mechanisms to alleviate the overwhelming feelings of helplessness and isolation.

As a serving soldier I understand just how hard it can be to admit that you need help, the tough exterior that we portray can act as a barrier between being comfortable in our own skin. However, acknowledgment that help is required is the first step to wellbeing.

To alleviate the pressures that many of us feel we would like to assist our wonderfully diverse military community by offering food hampers completely free of charge.

Please visit us at the Welfare Centre or get in touch with a memeber of the Welfare Team and let us know how we can help.

If you require cultural food items, not normally found in supermarket’s, we will do our utmost to locate and purchase these for you.

We can even arrange evening or night time collections as well as deliveries should you so wish.

The Christmas Community Fridge will run from the 6 to 20 December.
