SECRET HIDEAWAY - If you fancy a little quiet 'me time', then you may wish to stop by the Pinfold now that it has been renovated inside.

One seat was purchased from the Bishopthorpe Ward budget courtesy of Michael Nicholls, and the other by AMPC.

At the Annual Meeting of the Parish Council, Councillor Garry Taylor decided to step down as Chairman and pass the mantle on to someone else.

In the image, you can see the minutes from the meeting of 14 May 2007, when Garry was first elected Chairman — meaning he served an incredible 6,938 days leading the Council.

Thankfully for the parish, Garry remains a valued member of the Council… and who knows, he may yet return to the Chairman’s seat again one day.

Whilst being pleased that the mini-library is being used. Please remember that the primary purpose of the kiosk is as a home for a defibrillator. At present, if there was an emergency access would be difficult.

Sadly, we will have to dispose of the box of books.

Spring is here, which means it’s time for the Great British Spring Clean.

We’ll be meeting at the Pinfold at 11am on Saturday 7 March for this year’s village litter pick. We hope you can join us in helping to keep our village tidy.

Just to make you aware of a mini-library that has been added to the telephone kiosk next to Mill Garth Park.

This was the work of an enterprising young man from Copmanthorpe - well done!
