💙 Sixth Form Charity Day – Making a Difference! 💙

A huge well done to our Sixth Form students for raising £217.40 through their recent non-uniform day! 🎉👏

The money will be split equally between our two chosen charities for this academic year, The Cancer Bank and Maundy Relief, supporting two important local causes. All Sixth Form charity events throughout the year will contribute towards these worthwhile charities. 💙

🥫 Students also supported our community through a foodbank drive, with all donations going to Oswaldtwistle Churches Together Foodbank.

Thank you to everyone who donated and took part. Your generosity will make a real difference to people in our local community! 🙌✨

🌿🎨 Exploring Accrington’s Heritage at Gatty Park!

Yesterday, four of our textiles students joined Mrs Morrison and Mrs Litherland for a visit to Community Solutions at Gatty Park.

Students discovered the fascinating history of Gatty Red dye, famously created in Accrington, before having a go at dyeing fabric themselves using madder plants grown in the community group’s polytunnels. 🌱🧵

A fantastic hands-on opportunity to explore our local heritage, sustainability and traditional dyeing techniques! 💙
