Thanks to everyone who came along to our community Litter Pick last week! There were nearly 30 of you!
Vital work taking the litter of the shores of Upper Loch Torridon, we took about 12 bags of rubbish away in total. We also conducted a Beach Watch survey on behalf of the Marine Conservation Society who will use the data to analyse how rubbish affects the UK coastline.

Congratulations to Colin Blyth who has recently retired from his voluntary role as Rainfall Observer for SEPA (and Met Office)! Having recorded daily rainfall measurements in Torridon for the past 15 years, Colin has recently passed on the repsonsility to the Torridon Ranger Service. The rain gauge has been moved from Darroch Park to The Mains, and it would be great to have extra hands to help out with daily recordings!
If you would like to volunteer to monitor the rain gauge and continue this long-term dataset, then please get in touch to discuss! [email protected].
