Some amazing news from the Army Football Association

With a record breaking 242 from across 50 County FAs the Army Women's Football Defence Engagement to the Western Balkans has been shortlisted for the Special Recognition Award at the 2023 County FA Recognition Awards!! 💪

A record breaking 242 submissions have been entered from the 50 County FAs operating across England, highlighting continuous improvements, and showcasing how they are innovating to improve grassroots football and increase participation across all levels of the game.

This was a unique opportunity for both Regular and Reserve female players and Staff to play five football fixtures across five countries whilst also conducting a planned programme of Defence Engagement tasks to promote women in sport.

The countries visited were Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), Montenegro, Albania and North Macedonia.

A huge well done to all.those involved in the organisation and running of the event!
