Cadet Volunteers Recruitment Day - Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service Derbyshire Fire & rescue Service are holding a recruitment day on Saturday 7th September, 11 - 2pm at the Alfreton Fire Station to recruit cadet volunteers.

Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service:
In July Alfreton Fire Station responded to 83 emergency calls, of which 36 were false alarms.

At 12:43 yesterday, Alfreton's red watch attended an out of control bonfire on Nottingham Road Alfreton. Crews used water backpacks & beaters to extinguish fire.

Yesterday, Alfreton Blue Watch gave a station tour for a group of Chernobyl Children with help from the charity Chernobyl Children Lifeline, check out some of the wonderful things this charity does for these children. http://www.ccll.org.uk/ho/
