On 25 April, cadets from 1801 Alnwick Squadron stood shoulder to shoulder with units from across Northumberland to commemorate ANZAC Day—a powerful reminder of the shared history and sacrifice across the Commonwealth.

From the shores of Gallipoli to communities around the world, this day connects us through a legacy of courage, resilience, and service. Our cadets were proud to play their part, honouring those who gave everything and reflecting the enduring bonds between nations.

Ever wondered what it feels like to fly? With 1801 (Alnwick) Squadron Air Cadets, you don’t just dream about it – you can experience it!

We offer incredible opportunities for cadets aged 12–17 to get up in the air through powered flying and gliding, giving you a real taste of aviation. Whether it’s your first time in an aircraft or the start of a passion for flying, this is where it begins.

As a cadet, you could:
✈️ Fly in RAF aircraft with qualified pilots
🛩 Experience gliding and take control of the aircraft
🎓 Work towards aviation-related qualifications
