We are pleased to state that work is due to start on the installation of the long awaited new play equipment. The equipment will include two net climbing pyramids, a ground level trampoline and a basket swing. All to have wet pour safety surfaces underneath. The work will begin on Friday the 21st of April and should be completed in 10-12 days. There will be some disruption for users of the play area, car park and playing field whilst contractors carry out the work. In addition several new seating areas are being installed. Well done to everyone involved on the Council in the run up to this major improvement scheme.

The Essex Playing Field Association has announced that Alresford Parish Council has won the Essex Playing Field of the Year Competition. Well done to all those involved in maintaining the facilities to the highest of standards. In addition the main football pitch was deemed to be the best in Essex and the Play area won gold for maintenance and safety. Fantastic results as there were 270 entries in the competition this year. Prize includes free maintenance by Ernest Doe Ltd. Well Done Alresford!

Well done Alresford! In the Neighbourhood Plan Referendum held today a resounding 96% voted in favour of the Alresford Parish Council Neighbourhood Plan. A very positive result for the community.

Three young children's bikes taken today 13/8/2021 between 11am and 11.30 am. One taken from outside "Crestlands" Ford Lane and the others from outside "The Old School". One bike has a purple frame and white basket (dutch stye). The other is a Paw Patrol cycle. Third bike is a mini scrambler type bike.
