The land is owned by the Tatton Estate, which has granted Innova an option to develop the site. At the gateway to our borough, the proposed data centre would see vast industrial sheds towering 21 metres high, dominating the landscape and changing its character.

Noise from cooling systems and back-up generators is another serious concern.Residents deserve clear answers about the impact on their homes, their peace and quiet, and their surrounding environment and countryside.

Developer Innova wants to build a campus-style data centre on approximately 60 hectares of land south of Lymm Road.

🌳 Our countryside deserves protecting.

The land should be restored to its former condition as farmland. Allowing it to remain as it is makes a mockery of the planning rules.

Residents who share these concerns may wish to contact Cllr Phil Eckersley at [email protected] to make their views known.

Labour voted through its Northern Ireland Veterans Bill again yesterday.

Our veterans served our country, defended our freedoms and kept us safe. They deserve our support - not to be let down by the very country they served.

The will always stand up for our veterans.

Mr Rand MP says Labour is putting the brakes on “rip-off parking charges”. Perhaps he should have a word with his Labour colleagues at Trafford Council.

Their latest budget proposals include longer on-street charging hours, Sunday car park charges, charging from 8am to 8pm and paid parking at Thorley Lane.

Protection from unfair private parking penalties is welcome. But that won’t stop residents paying more to park under Labour’s local proposals.

Our shops, cafés and restaurants need support. Making visits more expensive risks driving customers away.

Connor, will you stand up for local residents and businesses and oppose these proposed charges?

🚨 COULD LOCAL CHILDREN LOSE OUT ON PLACES AT ALTRINCHAM GRAMMAR SCHOOL FOR GIRLS?

WHAT'S CHANGING?

From September 2028, AGGS proposes giving admissions priority to children attending four primary schools within its academy trust.

This could mean a girl who passes the entrance exam and lives close to AGGS loses out to another girl who also passes but lives further away, simply because she attends one of the Trust's preferred primary schools.

Does this sound fair?

💬 WHAT DO YOU THINK?

Should attending a particular primary school give a child priority over another who lives closer to AGGS?

We'd really like to hear from local parents and residents. Email [email protected].

📅 CONSULTATION CLOSES 14 DECEMBER 2026.

Read the proposals and have your say:

Please share so other local families are aware.
