Today we talked about hibernating hedgehogs to tie in with the Hot and Cold topic the children are studying. These super long screws made fantastic spikes for our squash-hog and needed lots of concentration and coordination to screw in. They had fun bashing golf tees into potatoes to make smaller hedgehogs which they then treated at the hedgehog hospital before going back into hibernation.

We've had such a busy we didn't manage to take any pictures but minibeasts were identified, mud cakes made, dens built, trees climbed, fungi found, hammocks hung and fires started!

One boy and his ladder. Who knows where he can go?! He climbed like a fireman, was a pirate in a big sailing ship and was Batman looking out over Gotham City.
