๐ AMESBURY COMMUNITY BINGO GROUP ๐
The Amesbury Community Bingo Group is delighted to announce its upcoming Bingo Afternoon in support of Ending Violence Against Women and Girls (EVAWG) Wiltshire.
This event also marks a special milestone as the group completes its third successful year of bringing the community together through friendship, wellbeing, and fundraising for important causes.
Established in May 2023 during the Mayoral year of Dr Monica Devendran, the Amesbury Community Bingo Group was created to bring residents together through friendship, wellbeing, and community fundraising.
The group is run by Jeff Coy, Monica, and Maureen Swaffield with the valued support of volunteers from Christ The King Catholic Church.
Over the past three years, the group has proudly supported a wide range of local and national initiatives, including community charities, wellbeing projects, youth groups, veterans organisations such as the Royal British Legion (RBL), and other causes making a positive difference in peopleโs lives.
This monthโs fundraiser will help support the important work of EVAWG Wiltshire, raising both awareness and funds towards ending violence against women and girls.

Visit to The Stonehenge School Student Parliament
This morning, The Stonehenge Schoolโs Student Parliament hosted the Mayor, Cllr Laura Knight, Chair of the Stonehenge Chamber, Chris Little and Amesbury Town Council Community Project Manager, Samantha Burney.
They talked with students about the new Amesbury Community Logo, the Amesbury 2028 Town of Culture bid, and Amesbury Town Councilโs 5-year Strategic Plan.
The students shared excellent ideas about how young people can have a stronger voice in Amesbury. They also gave suggestions for future events, activities and projects that could be included in the 5-year plan.
Thank you to Headteacher Carol Dean, the Student Parliament and The Stonehenge School for welcoming us.
