NappiCycle provides a low impact, cost-efficient nappy and absorbent hygiene products recycling facility in South Wales.

NappiCycle started back in 2009, to provide a low impact, cost-efficient nappy and absorbent hygiene products recycling facility in South Wales. We are capable of providing the assistance to local authorities to achieve challenging recycling targets set by Welsh government. ♻️ Over 200,000 used nappies – recycled, repurposed, and now part of UK infrastructure.

Today, MyPura NappiCycle delivered a bulk load of our recycled fibre pellets to a UK asphalt plant — the equivalent of more than 200,000 nappies transformed into high-performance fibre for Stone Mastic Asphalt (SMA).

Unlike most asphalt fibres imported from overseas, these fibres are manufactured here in Wales, from post-consumer nappies, creating UK jobs and delivering real circular economy value.

Supported by Natural Engineering, who design and maintain our bespoke recycling equipment, this is a genuine example of the circular economy in action — creating high-skilled jobs, retaining value in the UK, and reducing our carbon footprint.

This milestone has been made possible through collaboration with GD Harries & Sons Ltd , SigmaRoc plc and support from the Llywodraeth Cymru / Welsh Government — demonstrating what’s achievable when innovation, infrastructure, and sustainability work hand in hand.

MypuraNappiCycle continues to lead the way in nappy recycling innovation, turning waste into a valuable resource that’s helping to build a more sustainable UK infrastructure.

Holy poops, we've now recycled 400,000 nappies in the Pura NappiCycle Bristol Trial in partnership with Bristol Waste and Green Bottoms. Valuable material resources have been recovered from the used nappies and repurposed into pellets for products including lumber, fence posts at much more. Approximately 23,000 kg CO2eq has also been saved by recycling the collected nappies too. What a win!

Walking on nappies, woah and don’t it feel good! 😆

We’re proud to spotlight our 15-year partnership with Natural UK NappiCycle, which has led to a WORLD-FIRST innovation - using fibres from recycled nappies to create the pathways & driveways at Merlin’s Crest.

And here’s the best part - we recycled 60,000 nappies left behind by our guests after their Bluestone break to make this happen! 😅

Even better? We recycle around 500,000 nappies a year!

This isn’t just a step forward - it’s a continued commitment to building a cleaner, greener future, one recycled nappy at a time! 🤭💚
