🎄🎨 ATTLEBOROUGH CHRISTMAS COLOURING COMPETITION! 🎨🎄

We’re delighted to be taking part in the Attleborough Christmas Carnival & Fair 2026 by helping to spread a little festive creativity! 🎅✨

Very kindly sponsored by Barkers Print & Design Ltd, the Children's Christmas Colouring Competition is now underway, and we'd love to see our young library visitors getting involved! 🖍️🌟

🎨 Three age categories:
🖍️ 3–5 years
🖍️ 6–7 years
🖍️ 8+ years

🎅 HOW TO ENTER

If your child hasn't received a colouring sheet through their school or nursery, pop into Attleborough Library to pick one up.

Once your little artist has finished their masterpiece, you can return it to their school, nursery or to us at Attleborough Library. Don't forget to complete the entry form on the back! 😊

📅 Entries will be collected during the week beginning Monday 16 November 2026.

🏆 THREE WINNERS!

One winner will be chosen from each age category, with a prize for each lucky artist. The three winning entries will also be proudly displayed at Attleborough Library! 🎨🏆

👀 Keep an eye out on Sunday 29 November, the day of the Attleborough Christmas Carnival & Fair, as your child's artwork may be among the entries on display!

So, get those crayons, colouring pencils and felt tips ready, and let those festive imaginations run wild! 🌈🎄

Our Children’s Christmas Colouring Competition has been launched, and we can’t wait to see all your wonderful, colourful creations! 🎄✨

Our lovely Claire has been busy delivering a whopping 1,000 colouring sheets to local schools, nurseries and Attleborough Library! 👏🥰

🎨 THREE AGE CATEGORIES:

• 🖍️ 3–5 years
• 🖍️ 6–7 years
• 🖍️ 8+ years

🎅🏼 HOW TO TAKE PART

If your child hasn’t received a colouring sheet through their school or nursery, don’t worry! Simply pop into Attleborough Library to pick one up.

Let your little ones get creative with their brightest colours and festive imagination! 🌈🎄

📍 WHERE TO RETURN YOUR ENTRY

Once completed, colouring sheets can be handed back to your child’s school, nursery or Attleborough Library.

Don’t forget to fill out the entry form on the back of the colouring sheet!!!

💜 Bereavement Café at Attleborough Library 💜

Losing someone close to us can be a difficult and lonely experience. Our Bereavement Café, run in partnership with Rosedale Funeral Home, offers a friendly, welcoming space to meet others, have a chat or simply enjoy a cuppa in a relaxed and informal setting. ☕💜

There’s no pressure to talk, and you’re welcome whether your loss is recent or some time ago. You don’t need to book – just come along. Everyone is welcome.

Join us for Bounce and Rhyme 2.15-2.45pm, Stay and Play 2.45-3.13pm and Lego Club 3.30-4.30pm today, then Biscuits and Board Games on Saturday 1.30-3pm.

It's October, which means it's time to highlight the creepy and the kooky, the mysterious and the spooky books available at your local library.

Witches 🧙‍♀️ , ghosts 👻, zombies 🧟, vampires 🧛, cars possessed by malevolent spirits 🚘, they're all here just waiting to be borrowed.

💜 Could a friendly cuppa and a chat help?

Our new Bereavement Support Group at Attleborough Library is getting ready for its first session.

Bereavement can sometimes feel very lonely, and it can help to have a safe, informal space where you can meet others, talk if you want to, or simply enjoy a cuppa and some company. ☕💜

It’s free, informal and no booking is required – just come along. Everyone is welcome.

The group will continue on the 3rd Wednesday of every month.

🧩 Back by popular demand! 🧩

Next week at the library, we're running one of our semi-regular free jigsaw swap weeks. All next week (Monday 7th September to Saturday 12th September) you can come along to the library during our regular opening hours and swap any boxed, complete jigsaw puzzle you have at home for another!

Disclaimer: While we hope that jigsaw swappers will only bring in puzzles with all their pieces to swap, library staff cannot guarantee all puzzles will be complete.

Our new Bereavement Support Group at Attleborough Library starts next week, and we’d love to welcome you along.

If you’re living with the loss of someone you care about, you don’t have to go through it alone. The group offers a friendly, informal space to meet others, share experiences if you wish, or simply enjoy a cuppa and some company. 💜☕

There’s no need to book and the session is free – just come along. Everyone is welcome.
