Our grounds and gardens are currently open to explore throughout our Autumn Opening, offering the opportunity to enjoy Balmoral at a different time of year.

During your visit, you can also discover the Ballroom Exhibition, browse the Mews Gift Shop and enjoy something to eat or drink in our Restaurant.

It’s a particularly peaceful time to visit, enjoy the fresh autumn air and take in the beauty and tranquillity of the Balmoral grounds at a slower pace.

Enjoy a memorable ‘Evening at Balmoral’, with an exclusive experience combining a guided Castle tour, fine dining and live music.

Your evening will begin with a welcome drink at the Mews Gift Shop, before a piper-led procession to the Castle for a guided interior tour.

Following the tour, you’ll enjoy a seven-course menu in our Restaurant, paired with fine wines and accompanied by live music.

Evenings at Balmoral will take place on select dates from 13th November to 18th December, with tours beginning at 5pm and 6pm.

Spaces are limited to ensure an intimate and unique experience. Adults only (16 years and over).

Save the date! The Christmas Artisan Market returns to Balmoral this November, hosted by Exclusively Highlands.

From 6–8 November, enjoy a wonderful selection of Scottish art, craft, food and drink from talented makers and producers, set throughout the grounds and buildings surrounding the Castle.

With festive gifts to browse, artisan produce to discover, and street food and refreshments to enjoy, it’s a lovely way to start the Christmas season, and your Christmas shopping, at Balmoral.

While Balmoral Castle’s grounds, gardens, exhibitions and Restaurant will reopen to the public for our Autumn Opening from Tuesday 29th September, you don’t have to wait until then to pay us a visit.

Throughout September, our Main Gate Gift Shop and Terrace Café remain open daily from 10am until 4pm.

Browse a carefully curated collection of Balmoral gifts and keepsakes, find something special to take home, then enjoy a bite to eat or something sweet at the gates of Balmoral.

Whether you’re spending the day exploring Royal Deeside or simply looking for a welcome stop on your travels, we’d be delighted to see you this September.
