Castle Hill Estate Gardens - Open Mon to Fri 11am - 3pm (Nov to 23rd March) and 11am to 4pm in the summer months.

For Child, Family & Group pricing, please visit our website. Why not bring the family for a picnic and let the children run around and explore in our family friendly 50 acre garden near South Molton. Castle Hill Gardens offer a haven for those seeking a little peace and quiet as well as those with energetic youngsters and dogs. Visit the Millennium Garden and wander the romantic Woodland Gardens by the river where beautiful shrubs and flowers grow in abundance. For the more adventurous, take the steep path up to the castle behind the house and admire the panoramic views of Exmoor, Dartmoor and Lundy Island. The Castle Hill West Wing will be filled with fun and excitement during the Spooky Garden Trail thanks to Rob Pudner and Sparkle&co. North Devon

Expect lively performances filled with playful mischief, characterful moments and interactive fun that bring our Halloween celebrations to life.

Alongside the entertainment, Sparkle & Co will be offering spooky Halloween facepainting, transforming little visitors into pumpkins, ghosts, witches and magical creatures ready to explore the trail.

Enjoy delicious homemade soup, sausage roll or treat yourself to a warm drink or homemade treat in the West Wing Halloween Tea Room.

Mid October brings a special kind of light and stillness to Castle Hill. The gardens feel calm and reflective, with the light accentuating the gardens and buildings in the most magnificent way while the stunning autumnal colours begin to settle into the borders and woodland edges.

Come and see for yourself with an enjoyable walk around the grounds. When you’re finished, complete your visit with a peaceful moment in the cosy Tea Room with homemade soup, a lite lunch or a slice of cake - a perfect pairing for a gentle autumn day.

Weekdays in October offer some of the most peaceful moments in Castle Hill Gardens. The paths are quiet, the lawns calm, and the autumn light creates beautiful pockets of warmth throughout the day, creating autumnal hues like the one shown on this splendid Acer.

Combine your visit with a comforting stop in the Tea Room where homemade soup, warm drinks and freshly baked cakes make it the perfect weekday retreat.

A wonderfully striking evening last night at Castle Hill. Deer Park lit up with colour and movement as the clouds rolled through, giving us one of the most dramatic skies we’ve seen this month. No filters needed, just nature putting on a show.

Sundays are made for relaxing…

We are opening our gates TOMORROW for a rare Sunday afternoon at Castle Hill!

Wander our autumn woodland paths, enjoy the views, and say hello to our resident piggies, Pinkie and Percy!

After your stroll, warm up in the Tea Room. Enjoy a cream tea or some delicious homemade bakes, including our cappuccino cake and seasonal courgette, lemon & thyme cake! 🍰☕
