"Today I attended Cabinet to convey my concerns about the demolition and rebuild of the Forum and Westmorland and Furness Council's ability to deliver it after the unmitigated disaster of Voreda House in Penrith." Nine excellent questions from the people of Barrow who were not reassured by the answers from the Lib Dem Councillors.

Great to hear about the proposed redevelopment of Abbotsvale Playground. Around £100K from the Capital Programme, plus external funds could make a great local facility.
As part of the Play Strategy, Abbotsvale has been identified for improvement works in 2026/27. I welcome thoughts on what the community would like to see in the space. Thoughts please?
W&F Council are also planning to carry out consultation with neighbouring families and regular park users to ensure the project reflects local needs and aspirations.
