Sectarian hatred has no place in East Belfast!

Absolutely disgusted to see these vile and deeply offensive stickers appearing in East Belfast.

Regardless of your religion, background or political beliefs, nobody should be subjected to threats, intimidation or imagery glorifying violence.

There is no place for this sort of sectarian hatred in our community, and those responsible should be ashamed of themselves.

We have worked too hard to move away from the hatred and violence of the past to allow this poison to drag our communities backwards.

I utterly condemn this and would encourage anyone who comes across similar material to report it so that it can be removed.

🌳 Thanks to NIHE for removing two trees on Mount Merrion Avenue that had been inspected and deemed unsafe.

A positive outcome for local residents, with safety coming first. ✅

It was a real pleasure and privilege to be invited along to Orangefield OB FC 60th Anniversary Dinner on Saturday evening at the Ulster Reform Club. ⚽️

I was genuinely delighted to be invited along and really touched by the kind words and the presentation of a lovely club tie. It was such a thoughtful gesture and one I truly appreciated.

It was great to spend the evening in such good company, catching up with familiar faces, sharing a few stories and celebrating everything that makes this club so special.

Clubs like Orangefield are about so much more than football. They're about friendships, memories and the people who have given so much of their time over the years.

A huge thank you to everyone for making me feel so welcome, and congratulations to all involved, past and present, on a fantastic 60 years.

A brilliant night with great people and one I'll remember fondly! 👏⚽️

The Secretary of State’s decision to ban the Drumcree parade is an absolute disgrace.

This decision rewards those who have broken the law while penalising those seeking to exercise their right to parade peacefully.

The Republican Labour Party has serious questions to answer over this decision.

I am sick and tired of seeing our traditions and our community treated with such contempt. We deserve fairness, respect and equal treatment, and I will never apologise for standing up for that.

🇮🇱 We will remember them.

Three years ago today, on 7 October 2023, Hamas launched its horrific terrorist attack on Israel.

More than 1,200 people were killed and 251 men, women and children were taken hostage. Families were torn apart and communities devastated.

Today, we remember every innocent life taken, those who survived unimaginable horror, and the families who continue to live with the pain of that day.

We must never forget the evil of 7 October, and we must always stand against terrorism and antisemitism.

May the memory of those murdered be a blessing.

🇬🇧🇮🇱 We remember.

The Green Party has now formally adopted an anti-Zionist position.

People are entitled to criticise any Israeli government, but denying the principle of Jewish national self-determination is something very different.

The company they now keep in the history of British anti-Zionist politics speaks for itself.

Criticise governments. Challenge policies. Pursue peace. But Israel has a right to exist. 🇬🇧🇮🇱

Violence, intimidation and disorder are wrong whoever is responsible.

But we also cannot be afraid to have an honest debate about immigration, crime and the pressures facing our communities.

Ignoring difficult issues doesn't make them disappear.

It’s time for an open and serious conversation.

The rule of law must apply equally to everyone.

For 28 years, Portadown Orangemen challenged decisions through lawful means.

When a determination finally went their way, what followed was intimidation, threats and an unlawful protest.

You cannot pick and choose when the rule of law applies.
