This week the children have been learning about 'Autumn'. We used a palm drill to make holes in the conkers to make 'Conker caterpillars', we have made pumpkin soup for snack time, we enjoyed playing with the small world pumpkin farm, we listened to Autumn stories, painted with Autumn colours and modelled with autumn dough, we also enjoyed making hedgehogs out of clay.

As we are approaching Christmas we are starting to plan for our tombola bag event.
This is held on Sunday the 29th November at Sandy Xmas lights switch on. If you have any unused or forgotten gifts from the year, we would love to take them off your hands. Items that have previously been donated are; toys, candles, chocolates, gifts sets,
smellies, games and biscuits. We hope to see you there 😊

We have had an amazing, week, term and year!
We have finished off the Pre-School year with party week, the children have enjoyed singing, dancing, dressing up, bowling and playing pass the parcel amongst other party games.
We held our graduation ceremony for leavers they are so ready for their next step to school, we couldn’t be prouder of them and wish them all the very best for their futures 😊we will miss you!
We welcome existing children back in September and look forward to hearing all about their summer adventures, on behalf of all the staff at Ickwell Pre-School, we wish you all a fantastic summer break 😊

This week we have been looking at 'Our bodies' from eating healthy, looking after our teeth, exercising and keeping ourselves safe.

The children have had so much fun taking part in cheer leading and multi sports with BTCA and learning some new words in Spanish with Kidslingo.

We break up for half term today and we welcome children back to Pre-school on Monday the 1st of June.

Monday 4th May 2026!

We’re looking for donations of bakes, cakes, sweet treats, and other goodies for the Tea Rooms at Ickwell May Day run by the Committee and staff of Ickwell Preschool.

Every penny raised will go directly towards supporting the children at preschool, helping to provide resources and opportunities for them to learn and grow.

If you’re able to donate something homemade it would be hugely appreciated. Thank you for supporting our little ones and helping make May Day a success! 💛

Following children's interests this week we have been learning about different occupations. The children have enjoyed playing the role of a doctor, nurse, police officer, midwife, zoo keeper and more.
We have enjoyed Spanish with Kidslingo and sports with BTCA.
We will be learning more about occupations next week, have a great weekend!
