Our Burne-Jones windows are back shining brightly, and the conservation phase of the Divine Beauty Project is now complete. We are extremely grateful to The National Lottery Heritage Fund for enabling this work to be completed, and to everyone who has supported us on this exciting journey.

It's safe to say we're truly amazed at the difference between these before and after shots at

Thanks to the amazing work from Nick Cox Architects and the stained glass detailing at St Phillips Cathedral has been given a new lease of life!

We can't wait to see the end results!

All entries are now on display on the railings in Cathedral Square. All poems can also be collected by entrants on a special card inside the cathedral over the summer. ♥️

Coming this Thursday... our first Stained-glass Live session!

If you're visiting us this week and want to learn more about stained-glass and the process of conservation, we will have some experts on hand in the cathedral this Thursday (27 July) between 1100 and 1500.

And if you haven't already - don't forget to book your Divine Beauty Scaffolding tour to avoid disappointment at https://birminghamcathedral.com/divine-beauty-scaffolding-tours/

Sessions with our conservators and stained-glass experts will run on a drop in basis and are free to join in with during your visit!

A series of workshops will look at:

The science of conservation
Techniques used in stained-glass conservation
New discoveries about Birmingham Cathedral’s stained-glass windows

Drop in anytime between 1100 and 1500 and stay as long as you wish!

Sessions will take place on 27 July. 17 August, 26 September and 17 October.
