Making it easier to get to the celebrations 💜

It was brilliant to see colleagues out on the course, whether you were running for a cause, pushing yourselves, or simply giving it a go. The team spirit on the day was fantastic and really made the event feel special.

Temporary timetable – Sunday 3 May

Great Birmingham Run
To help runners get to the start line on time, we’ll be running two additional early‑morning trams:
- 06:00 & 06:30 Wolverhampton Station ↔ Grand Central

- Service changes during the event
To ensure participants can take part safely:
From start of service until 14:00 trams will operate between Wolverhampton Station and Grand Central only. No services to Millennium Point during this time.

- Normal service resumes from approximately 14:00

Great news for Birmingham! 🚋💙

We’ve partnered with Clayton Hotel Birmingham to make travelling around the city easier and greener. Hotel guests can enjoy discounted tram travel throughout their stay, and staff can save on their daily journeys too. Guests can collect their Metro discount code at the hotel and redeem it through the MyMetro App.

Metro customers can also unlock a special room rate using WMMC25 when booking online, and enjoy 15% off food and drink at the Grill Restaurant and Alvar Bar with a valid Metro ticket. It’s a partnership designed to help visitors explore the city with ease while supporting more sustainable travel choices.
