🚓 Cuppa with a Copper is next Thursday - the 11th of June - at our centre in Balsall Heath. It's a chance to talk about any concerns you have in the area, let the police know your priorities and get your voice heard!

💜We held a special celebration event for all of our lovely volunteers today. It was a chance to meet, share stories - and take part in some relaxing wellbeing activities.
🟣For us it was a chance to say thank you to the people who give us their time every week, and make such a valuable contribution to our work at Anawim.

💜 Volunteers' Week is a chance for us to say THANK YOU to the 27 people who regularly give up time to help us here at Anawim. Our volunteers work across the organisation, from classes and groups to casework and fundraising. They come out into the community with us, and even into prison. Volunteers make a real difference to our work.

💖Could you take part in the Anawim 40/40/40 challenge! We're looking for 40 people to cover 40 miles over 40 days to help us celebrate our 40th Anniversary.

🪻A huge thank you to Lynn and Jerry who very kindly opened their garden up in aid of Anawim on a very sunny Bank Holiday Sunday! Everyone was so generous and we raised more than £800 from entry donations and the refreshments. A massive thank you also to the Sheila Fawkes Cafe Orchestra who provided music throughout the day.
🌷We had such a lovely time meeting everyone, and a truly enjoyable day.

📻 In case you missed it our CEO Joy was on BBC Radio 4 Woman's Hour last week talking about our work on Intensive Supervision Courts - and our work on them. The scheme - which sees women offered an intensive supervisions order instead of time in prison - is being rolled out to more places in the country. It was piloted in Birmingham and we've been working on it since the beginning.
