The Friends of Woodgate Valley Country Park are recording bird sightings on the valley over the coming weekend ( June 18 & 19 ). Here's a heads up on our recent heads up.. ..our contractors contractor's have advised that they cannot do the works next week after all. They are now looking at the following week commencing 26th July, we haven't been given exact dates just yet.

Birmingham’s Parks Visitor Centres and facilities will close on Friday until further notice. Even though our Visitor Centres are closed and our events are cancelled, you can still access our amazing greenspaces to take the air and help with your physical and mental wellbeing, don’t forget to practice physical distancing though, we have plenty of space for you to use. We hope you have all had a very good Christmas. If you have a real Christmas tree and are unable to reuse or replant it, you can leave it with us on the main car park at the visitor centre (Clapgate Lane) between 1st and 10th January. 🌲 Please remove decorations and trimmings etc beforehand, we cannot accept these. 🌲 All trees will be chipped and retained in the UK to create biomass electricity.

Clocks gone back, winter on the way. Who cares, when the trees at Woodgate Valley look this good.
