✊Today we stand up for our community’s values of inclusion, diversity, and democracy— and today we tell Reform UK where to go.

📍We’ve got the local knowledge -and critically- now the cash from national government to invest in our area. - From delivering on road safety, to improving public transport and youth services, and fixing the potholes.

👉Let’s seize this opportunity.

The Renters Act comes into force today addressing the biggest cause of homelessness in our city - those of us who are private rented sector tenant’s can no longer be evicted at the whim of the landlord-security at last.

😎The sun shone high above The Heath this evening ☀️☀️

🍻Amazing to see York Road absolutely packed, as it will be every Friday for the next few months - what a shame the other parties oppose this space and want to remove it.

🫱🏻‍🫲🏽We want to say a big thank you to the 100s of residents who gave us their time and support on the doorstep too - including a few who had already sent off their postal votes for us.

🥳Celebrating Kings Heath Community Centre!

❤️The community takeover of Kings Heath Community Centre has shown the very best of our area.

✅Over 600 local people have joined us as investors in the share offer, giving us the funds to revitalise the space. No matter the size of the investment, everyone has one vote.

🎨The monthly art market has returned, and the amazing volunteer team is working with the local creative sector, so that the Centre supports them to grow.

⚽There is also huge potential for the space to support young people, for example, with homework clubs, or providing space for families to come together in the holidays.

🫱🏻‍🫲🏽As Co-operative Party candidates, this is exactly what we want to see more of in Birmingham - power entrusted to local people within their communities.

👉Lisa's role in this project as Chair has been instrumental, and Ben has been thrilled to see the place that gave him his first job working in childcare come back to life.

🗳We’re asking residents to lend us their support on May 7th as we have a record of working hard to support community projects here in Brandwood & Kings Heath.

☀️A great day talking to residents in Brandwood!

🌹Thank you to everyone who gave us their time, confirmed their support, or put a poster up!

🫱🏻‍🫲🏽These elections are not about party politics, but about picking the best team who will work hard for the community.

✅Whether it be tackling car crime, speeding, taking on casework, or protecting Dawberry Fields and our other green spaces — we’ll keep up the work we’ve been doing all year round.

🗳We’re asking residents to lend us their support on May 7th as we know the issues in our area, are already delivering improvements, and have solid costed plans to go further.

✅We prioritise road safety and space where all our communities can connect.

😍York Road has been a fantastic success, providing space for al fresco drinking & dining, pop-up markets, socialising, and even dance and festivals.

☀️We can't wait to see the space come alive over the coming summer months!

🤝This has all been possible because we worked with the community to deliver change.

❓With other parties sitting on the fence in this election, we're asking for residents' support in defending the progress we've made here in Kings Heath. Only a vote for us will secure this.

🚶‍➡️We're proud to have signed Better Streets for Birmingham's local election pledge and will continue to work with the entire community to improve road safety.

🌍We'll never stop campaigning for clean air and streets for all.
