🚨Your local Cllrs have been liasing hard with police to ensure that resident's voices are being heard in Kingshurst. Our role is to ensure that resident's voices are being taken seriously.

👀 We have had a response from the police below regarding the increase of ASB outside the CO-OP and in the park in Kingshurst.

📢We are increasing our patrols in the area and are actively speaking to people in the area to obtain their views and any issues they have. We have close links with the Co-op and are liaising with the Crime prevention specialist at the store to implement changes with staffing levels and security measures.
We are encountering these youths who seem to be causing the problems and are trying to identify these individuals to put a stop to their offending behaviour.

Lighting is being looked at and hopefully will be increased outside the store to improve the safety for residents and members of the public attending the area. Enquiries are also in progress to ascertain what measures we can put into place to stop these individuals from climbing onto the roof area.
We will continue our patrols and engagement in the area.📢

🗣We welcome your thoughts on the update either via comments below or via email to [email protected] or [email protected]

📢We have had messages from extremely worried residents about the upsurge in ASB in Kingshurst particularly by the COOP and library.
We have contacted the police to ask for an urgent update on the response they are taking to support the residents of Kingshurst and have also contacted the Council Regeneration team.
Residents should not be scared to use their only local food shop and employees of the shops and library should not be intimidated in their place of work.
We urge you to report ALL instances of ASB to 101 or 999 if an emergency and send us your Crime Number so we can escalate for you.
If you don't feel happy to do this please email us on [email protected], [email protected], [email protected]
Or send us a private message via FB and we will report on your behalf.

We have been busy meeting and supporting lots of residents in Kingshurst and Smithswood over the last 2 weeks.
Reported many incidences of flytipping to SMBC and Housing Agencies. All to be removed by early next week 👍
Worked to support residents with anti social neighbours. A reported decline in incidents 👍
Residents have confirmed overgrown trees trimmed back 👍
Lanchester Park cleared of much of rubbish, glass and burnt out trollies 👍
Working to protect residents from illegal e-scooters in gardens 👍
Meeting residents in Smithswood surgery 👍
This has all been done with the support from SMBC, Local police and Parish Cllrs.
Teamwork is the key to success
