🎉 Michaelmas Fair 2026 - A Wonderful Day for Our Community! 🎉

A huge thank you to everyone who attended this year's Michaelmas Fair and helped make it another fantastic community celebration.

There was something for everyone to enjoy throughout the day, from the inflatable slide and assault course to the teacups ride, mini golf and the Shuggy Boats. Visitors also enjoyed a variety of traditional games including giant Jenga, Connect 4 and bean bag throwing as well as new games like Pickle Ball, while heritage storytelling brought our local history to life.

The dog show was definitely a highlight of the fair, attracting some wonderful four-legged entrants. Congratulations to all of the winners and everyone who took part.

Families enjoyed visiting the police van, while refreshments and the licensed bar kept everyone well fed and refreshed throughout the day.

The entertainment stage was alive from morning until evening, with fantastic performances from our own Glee Club and a range of talented local artists who kept the crowds entertained all day long.

We would like to offer our heartfelt thanks to Baccanalia for their hard work, dedication and commitment in pulling together this year's event. Their efforts helped make the Michaelmas Fair a tremendous success.

A special thank you also goes to Ashcourt Group for their generous sponsorship and support of the event.

Most importantly, thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered, performed and supported the fair. Your continued enthusiasm and community spirit are what make the Michaelmas Fair such a special event each year.

We are urging residents to share their views on our priorities and objectives that will form the Council Plan 2027-2031.

We’ve launched a consultation with residents, businesses, partners and staff to check that our proposed objectives and priorities continue to serve them effectively.

You can engage with the consultation in multiple ways. This includes joining one of our online sessions to hear a presentation about the proposed Council Plan followed by an opportunity to share your views.

We have online events taking place on Thursday 10 September 6pm
