Congratulations to Gary Townsend and the whole team at Elements in Bearsden on being named one of Scotland’s 75 best restaurants by The Times and The Sunday Times!

Since opening on New Kirk Road in 2024, Elements has put Bearsden on Scotland’s food map, and it’s great to see the hard work of everyone in the kitchen and front of house recognised.

It's no surprise to see Reform's wheels coming off just a few months after they entered the Scottish parliament for the first time.

After a chaotic campaign in the spring, the party has been hit by scandal after scandal, and I'm sure more and more of its MSPs will be taking a long hard look at what they've signed up for.

Housing support for people on Universal Credit or Housing Benefit has not moved in more than two years.
This support is set by the UK Government, so it is for the Chancellor to fix.
He should use this month's Budget to bring it back in line with local rents

Reform and the Conservatives would tear up the human rights protections Winston Churchill championed.

Britain helped write the European Convention on Human Rights. Leaving it would put us alongside Russia and Belarus. That is no place for modern Britain, despite what Reform and the Conservatives might say.

Christmas is such an exciting time for young children, and I can't wait to see what our local nursery children come up with. Whether it's Santa, a snowman or a snowy scene from their own street, I’m looking forward to seeing all the entries!
