We hope to keep the community up to date on all local events and happening within the village! A little gem on the Forth Coast, near Linlithgow, surrounded by history. House O' The Binns sits to the south, overlooking the village, Hopetoun House is hidden from site to the East, and Blackness Castle stands proudly on the foreshore. We have the new cycle path from Hopetoun House running through the woods and exiting on the Blackness foreshore, a real asset to the area. There is also a lovely walk through the woods (AtoB, or loop round, you choose!)
The Blackness Boat Club is open to members for mooring and yachting facilities, and open to the general public most days, for drinks.

Marches Day is nearly upon us. The bunting is up, the village and surrounding areas are Marches day ready. We cant wait to welcome you all to beautiful Blackness to join in on our Marches traditions.

Himalyan Balsam

The Conservation Volunteers are coming to help with the removal of the Himalyan Balsam for two sessions on 14th May and 11th June from 10:30am to 1:30pm.

They suggest that it will be best to wear long sleeved clothing and thick gloves for protection from any nettles amongst the balsam. Also wellies might be useful for any balsam near the burn.

Please let us know if you would like to help the volunteers in their mission!
