About Us: I’m Mark Ineson and I am the proprietor of RealDonkeys. We have been established now for over 24 years and our reputation is second to none.

We provide Donkey Rides not only along the beach at Blackpool but at a variety of events across the U.K. This is reflected in a whole host of reviews left on our website by many our satisfied clients. I’m especially proud of the friendly and welcoming environment and the personal attention we give to our customers, that’s you by the way ! We currently have around 20 donkeys of all ages and have been working on the Golden Mile at Blackpool for over 24 years

Donkey rides have always proven popular and many people return year on year despite there being other more modern activities in Blackpool to do
Donkey rides are an ideal activity for children and provide endless hours of fun and as such a tradition that we can’t allow to be forgotten. Our donkeys have their own personalities and are well mannered and children friendly. Make it a fun day out for all the family and join us on Blackpool Beach. If you can’t make it to Blackpool you may come across us at one of the many events we attend throughout the year. Please don’t forget to come and say hello! We are fully licensed and insured so you can be assured that your stay with us will be a safe and pleasant one. All our team also have Enhanced DBS certificates. We had the honour of welcoming TUI Blackpool mascot , “Donkey Mark” to spend the day with us! 🫏💙

He certainly got stuck in, helping us get the donkeys ready before lending a hand with donkey rides along the beach for our holidaymakers and enjoying a few rides himself … As if that wasn’t enough, he even trotted off to help the children build sandcastles! 🏖️🐚

A huge thank you to TUI for letting “donkey mark” spend the day with us and bringing plenty of smiles along the way. We hope to see you again soon! 😊

We’re on the beach throughout the school summer holidays, weather and tide permitting.

📅 Please note: Our donkeys have a well-earned day off every Friday.

Today we had Tyson and Jack visit MHA Glen Rosa

The children and residents absolutely loved spending time with the donkeys this afternoon. I’m sure Tyson and Jack enjoyed the company too, especially with all the attention, cuddles, and carrots they received from everyone!

It was a wonderful afternoon filled with smiles, laughter, and some very special moments for all involved. 🫏❤️

An unusual post for us today. Sam and Benny have been to Hirds & Partners Vets.

Both donkeys were very well behaved. Sam only needed some blood tests, while Benny had blood tests and X-rays. Benny has been sent home with a course of antibiotics.

We’re pleased to say they both handled everything brilliantly and are now back home resting comfortably. 🫏❤️

This week marks the return of the donkeys to the activities they enjoy most. Prior to this, they will receive some well-deserved care and attention, including hoof trimming and a thorough bath following their holiday. This ensures they are comfortable, refreshed, and ready to resume their routine.🫏

We are getting ready to start back up for the season and are really looking forward to seeing everyone again over the Easter period.

This is when our donkeys will return to doing what they love most – meeting children and getting lots of attention!

In preparation, our staff are busy cleaning the donkeys tack, washing and grooming the donkeys, and making sure everything is up to the highest standard ready for the start of the season.

We can’t wait to welcome you all back and look forward to seeing you very soon. 🫏💙
