💨 A QUICK REMINDER – PLEASE BRING YOUR BINS IN! 🚮

With windy conditions across Blackpool, we're reminding residents to bring their bins back onto their property as soon as possible after collection, when safe to do so.

This helps prevent bins from blowing over, causing obstructions or being damaged.

💚 Thank you for helping to keep Blackpool's streets safe and tidy!

Commuters this morning will have noticed a familiar return to Blackpool Promenade.

The illuminated Western Train was put into position near North Pier early this morning, where it will be on display throughout Lightpool festival until October 31.

Frigate, better known as HMS Blackpool, will also be on display outside Starr Gate depot every night from 18:30 until 22:30 up to and including October 24. From October 25, it will be on display each night from 17:30 until 22:30.

The displays aren't a substitute for getting them back into service, and the council, Blackpool Transport and heritage tram team are working to get them back on tracks safely, as well as establish a heritage visitor attraction.

However displaying them during Lightpool is an opportunity to celebrate these wonderful trams, to show that they are still here and still cared for, and to show our continuing commitment to preserving them.

A big thank you to all the volunteers who have worked tirelessly to ensure the Western Train and Frigate trams are ready for the display.
