These brave officers sprang into action to arrested knife crime suspects.

It followed reports of a fight involving a group of young people involving weapons in Bognor. The officers made arrests and seized a large knife from one of the suspects.

Their actions have been recognised at the West Sussex Divisional Awards.

Did you witness a collision in Bersted on Thursday (22 October) and can you assist us in our investigation?

Emergency services responded to the A259 at around 8.45pm that evening, following a report that a cyclist had been involved in a collision with a silver Ford Transit van.

The cyclist, aged 43, sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to hospital, where he remains at this time.

With fireworks season approaching, now is a good time to brush up on the laws surrounding their use.

🔹 You must be 18 or over to buy fireworks.
🔹 It is illegal for retailers to sell fireworks to anyone under 18.
🔹 Fireworks must not be set off between 11pm and 7am, except on occasions such as Bonfire Night, New Year's Eve, Diwali and Chinese New Year, when later cut-off times apply.

While many people enjoy fireworks, they can be frightening for pets, livestock, wildlife and vulnerable members of our communities. A little consideration can make a big difference.

If you're planning celebrations, please do so responsibly and respect those around you.

We are continuing our urgent appeal for information to find missing Lily from Brighton.

The 38-year-old was last seen in Cuckfield around 2.20pm on Wednesday 30 September.

She is 5’3” and has grey shoulder-length, spikey styled hair, that is often worn in a bun.

Images of Lily show her wearing a black top, long black shorts with a green/yellow fluorescent band down the side and her carrying a large bag.

Lily also has links to Eastbourne and Littlehampton.
