UPDATE| The Farnworth Neighbourhood team have been doing weekly operations targeting anti-social behaviour and the use of illegal bikes on the streets of Farnworth and Kearsley following an influx of reports surrounding unsafe use of off road bikes, specifically Sur-Rons within the area.

On the evening of Sunday 7th July we have seized another Sur-Ron being driven down Market Street, Farnworth by 2 males in balaclavas. This will now be sent for destruction preventing further use on your roads.

This targeted activity forms part of our ongoing commitment to making the streets safe for your use and tackling organised crime.
We will continue to act on intelligence reported by the public and will use robust tactics where necessary to stop the use of illegal bikes and offenders will be dealt with and prosecuted.

If you have any information that can assist our efforts please utilise 101, the GMP online reporting or report anonymously through crime stoppers.

Our Foodbank warehouse is currently low in stocks of a number of items. Please consider buying an extra item to donate to the foodbank— and be a crucial support for those in need.

Get your team at work involved too! Why not run a Tinned Tuesday, or Fruit Juice Friday and see if your team could make a huge difference by restocking one whole shelf of an item in our warehouse?

You can drop off your donations at the Well or in the collection tubs located at Farnworth Asda or Farnworth Tesco.

Alternatively you can purchase via Give Today, an online shopping portal https://bit.ly/4l5iygB

Do keep reporting and let’s see our neighbourhood improve. It may happen slowly but it will surely happen.

| This SurRon was spotted by officers from the Farnworth Neighbourhood Team last night - the rider took a wrong turn and found themselves in a dead end street, swiftly ending the foot chase. The bike has been seized and will be sent for destruction.

We are committed to tackling the illegal use of dangerous off road bikes and illegally modified e-bikes on our roads to make Farnworth's Roads safer.
