If the BID is not renewed, the current term will end on 30th June 2027, and all BID funded projects and initiatives will stop.

That means:
🎪 No events and festivals
🎄 No Christmas lights
🚨 No crime support
🎨 No graffiti removal
📱 No digital promotion

More than £3 million of BID investment will be lost, alongside additional funding secured through partnership working, currently averaging around £60,000 a year.

There is no plan B.

Kings Park and AFC Bournemouth are set to join the BID area for the next term.

became a voluntary levy payer for the final year of the current term 2022 - 2027, recognising the value of working collaboratively with local businesses and stakeholders.

Chris Gerrish, Operations Director AFC Bournemouth says:

“We see this as more than a financial contribution. It is an opportunity to align more closely with fellow stakeholders who are committed to raising standards, increasing footfall and enhancing the reputation of Bournemouth. As the club considers its stadium redevelopment and wider investment, we are keen to ensure that the surrounding area grows positively alongside us.”

The Chicago Bears Grand Tour is coming to Bournemouth!

We’re delighted to share that AFC Bournemouth, one of Coastal BID’s newest voluntary levy payers, is collaborating with NFL team the Chicago Bears to kick off their UK Grand Tour in Bournemouth this weekend! The two-day activation will include:

Saturday 3rd October | Bournemouth Pier Approach
From 11am, with photo opportunities, games, giveaways and more.

Sunday 4th October | Vitality Stadium
From 4pm, with a watch party for the Chicago Bears vs New York Jets fixture.

It’s fantastic to see AFC Bournemouth bringing new concepts and international experiences to the town, helping raise Bournemouth’s profile and creating further opportunities for the wider business community. 🏈

We encourage local businesses and levy payers to get behind the event and help spread the word!
