FLASH REPORT: Event #310 Severn Valley Country parkrun

😊🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️👟🌅☀️3️⃣1️⃣0️⃣ ☀️🌅👟🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ 😊

This morning Run Director Tony Sharpe welcomed 125 park runners to Severn Valley Country parkrun and thanked 21 volunteers for making it happen.

With storm Austen having threatened the event even happening, set up crew were on deck from 6:45am for extra course checks. Prepared for anything with head torches and backpacks full of logging and bush clearing tools, the all clear was given at 7:20. Then set up really started. Special thanks to the set up crew this week for getting up extra early to make sure all was safe.

A massive well done to all those who achieved PB’s and got to ring the bell. It’s lovely to hear both the bell and cheers from those around!

The set up crew have done a full course check and we are happy to say that Severn Valley Country parkrun is GOOD TO GO today !

We are still planning to go ahead tomorrow but this will be subject to a course check in the morning.

However, we still need another 3-5 marshals to help us go ahead with parkrun.

If you can clap, cheer, lift your arm then you already have all the experience you need. We will provide the pink hi-vis.

We have Tony taking over as RD this weekend and he still needs 8 more marshals to cheer and guide our runners and walkers around the course.
We can’t hold our event without our wonderful volunteers!

FLASH REPORT: Event #309 Severn Valley Country parkrun

Run Director Paul Robinson welcomed 114 park runners and thanked 21 volunteers on a very chilly morning here at Severn Valley Country parkrun.

The set up crew were met by frosty ground, mist on the river and 2 deg C first thing. And it wasn’t much warmer by start time. But despite the onset of the colder weather it was a great turnout, with a large number of tourists visiting from around the nation.

Thank you to all the volunteers who helped make this happen successfully today, and well done to all those who avhieved PB’s and got to ring the bell.

🦺😊🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️👟☀️3️⃣0️⃣8️⃣☀️👟🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ 😊🦺

With the sun out and starting to warm the chilly autumn air, Run Director Paul Robinson welcomed 121 park runners and thanked 18 volunteers this morning.

It was a superb morning for parkrun, which can only happen with the support of our amazing volunteers. So a big shout out to all who put their hand up this week to volunteer instead of running.

Don’t forget, if you haven’t volunteered for a while we have a board up in the briefing area for you to pop your name down for upcoming weeks. If you’d like to give it a go and are not sure, chat to any one of team in high vis on the day.
